This piece is a re-work of a previous piece that I was unsatisfied with. I like the idea of seeing the fruit and blossom all in one piece, with the pear fruit itself playing the role of a vase as well. Fruit to root, and then seed to ground again, in a continuous cycle. A process of renewal from within. I like the process involved in painting over previous works, and I often leave some evidence behind of the work underneath. It's a mark of growth in itself.
