I have been exploring painting moths lately, and obviously I've painted a lot of fruit-especially pears! It seemed like the natural progression to combine the two subjects, and give a quirky little twist by having the pear as an actual vase. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this piece, the marrying of the stylised moth wallpaper with the texture and more realistic nature of the branches, with the fruit vase pulled purely from my imagination! A delightful piece of fun for any wall!
