Purple fruit in a field

Following on from the colour palette of my 'cactus fruit' piece, is 'purple fruit in a field'. Playing with a theme from a book called 'At world's end' , the colours and imagery it evoked in my head while reading comes out onto the canvas in these oddly coloured fruits, with purples, greens, oranges, and yellows. This piece is a standalone piece but also a study for a larger painting that I want to do that will combine all the elements from my imagination that this particular book inspired.
